The Opportunity
The job of Biological Materials Production Glassware Technician is to ensure all labware is cleaned as needed for the BMP/BMP-2 Laboratory. The Biological Materials Production Glassware Technician adheres to standard operating procedures and other regulatory documents. Biological Materials Production Glassware Technician will report to Biological Materials Production Team Leader.
Key Responsibilities
Decontaminate and clean all laboratory glassware and prioritize the cleaning duties to accommodate BMP/BMP-2 Lab needs
Oversee operation of gravity oven
Sterilize and maintain stock of dispensing vials, septa and crimps
Prepare items for autoclave sterilization
Document and organize sterilized items
Monitor expiry of sterilized items
Perform general lab maintenance and cleaning
Coordinate and perform disinfectant rotation
Flush eye wash station and decontaminate the showers according to SOPs
Order general consumables and glassware for BMP/BMP-2 Lab
Work on tasks set by Biological Materials Production Manager
Assist with production activities, including Master Batch Records
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience
Professional or academic lab experience preferred, but not required.
High school diploma or equivalent
Location, Environment, and Work Policy
TechLab® maintains a climate-controlled environment for the job of Biological Materials Production Glassware Technician. The Biological Materials Production Glassware Technician can potentially be exposed to human pathogens. An employee in this position must be able to lift and walk with materials upwards of 40 lbs. A typical workday is Monday through Friday 8:00 to 4:30 or 8:30 to 5:00. Overtime is occasionally necessary with or without advance notice.
